Subluxation and Your Health
At Path of Life, we encourage you to consider a different paradigm of health: that your body has the ability to heal itself and correct many of its own problems, without pills or scalpels, if it is given the right opportunity. What defines the right opportunity? To answer that question, let's look at what is the wrong opportunity. Your body will not be able to effectively repair inevitable day-to-day damage if it is unable to monitor and control every aspect of itself. So, anything that stands in the way of your body's ability to govern itself is a problem for your health. Your nervous system governs your body; anything that interferes with the function of your nervous system, then, will interfere with your health. Subluxation is a biomechanical distortion of the spine that interferes with the function of the nervous system that is housed within it. A chiropractor is the only doctor trained to detect and eliminate subluxation, to ensure that your nervous system is able to perform at its best, and therefore to govern and heal your body from the inside. If you have subluxations in your spine, they could be silently robbing your body of its health and well-being. Wouldn't it be better to have your spine checked by a chiropractor for subluxation, and have subluxation eliminated from your spine now, than to suffer the effects of decreasing health years down the line?
The following video demonstrates the effects of uncorrected subluxation on the structure of the cervical (neck) spine after years of neglect. This clip starts with a normal, healthy spine, and shows the development of degeneration and severe arthritis. While you watch this video, keep in mind that the spinal cord carries all information from your brain to your body and from your body back to your brain, and to do this, the spinal cord must travel through your neck unobstructed.
